What this policy covers
This policy explains what personal data we handle on the Indie Folks website and in the Indie Folks Radio app for iOS and Android, why we handle it, and for how long.
Indie Folks is a record label and production company based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. You can reach us any time at info@indiefolks.com.ar.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter we ask for your first name, last name and email address. We use them only to send you news about releases, shows and Indie Folks activities.
That data is stored with Perfit, an Argentine email marketing platform acting as a data processor on our behalf. We do not sell, rent or pass your email address to third parties for commercial purposes.
You can unsubscribe at any time from the link at the bottom of every email, or by writing to info@indiefolks.com.ar. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately and removes your contact from our list.
The Indie Folks Radio app
The radio app collects no personal data. There are no accounts and no sign-up; it does not ask for your name, email, location, contacts or photos, and it contains no advertising identifiers and no analytics tools.
Your listening preferences — volume, mute and favorites — are kept only on your own device and are never transmitted to us. The only permissions the app requests are those needed to keep audio playing in the background.
What we do not do
We use no analytics or advertising cookies. We do not embed Google Analytics, social media pixels or any other tracking tool, on the website or in the app. We do not build behavioral profiles or make automated decisions about you.
Technical logs
Like any website or streaming server, our servers record standard technical connection data when your device requests a page or the radio audio: the IP address of the connection, the address requested and the time of the request.
These logs exist to keep the service running, diagnose problems and measure how many people are listening at once. We also use the IP address transiently to rate-limit abusive submissions of the subscription form. We do not link them to your identity and we do not share them with third parties.
Retention
We keep your subscription data for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we remove it from our list. Technical logs are kept for short periods — the standard retention of our hosting provider and of the radio server.
Your rights
Under Argentine Law 25.326 on the Protection of Personal Data, you have the right to access your data, correct it, update it and request its deletion. To exercise those rights write to info@indiefolks.com.ar and we will respond within the legal timeframes.
The Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública, as the supervisory authority, handles complaints and claims regarding non-compliance with personal data protection rules.
Minors
Our content is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly request or collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor in your care has sent us data, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we publish the updated version on this same page with a new date. If in the future we begin collecting data we do not collect today, we will say so here before doing it.
